Fulham's 17 year-old youth striker Moussa Dembele has caught the eye of the Manchester United camp after impressing Red Devils' assistant manager Steve Round, who were with assistant coaches Nicky Butt and Phil Neville, according to a sources.

Dembele scored a goal against United's under-21 team, in a match that ended in a 2-2 draw in October.

The French teenager is regarded as a steal, signing on from Paris Saint-Germain in 2012 for a maximum fee of £284,000, involving academy players under FIFA rules.

He has the exact same name as Tottenham midfielder Moussa Dembele, who, ironically, also came from Fulham before heading to White Hart Lane.

Standing at 6 feet, he has been compared to the likes of Didier Drogba because of his imposing power and pace.

Dembele has already signed his professional contract in July, which implies that any interested club may shell out a lofty amount to secure his signature.

Meanwhile, Liverpool is also reported to be an interested party, according to mirror.co.uk.

Rodgers sent out scouts to evaluate Dembele's performance in an under-21 match against the Bolton Wanderers on November 4. They may have been impressed as he found the net twice in that fixture.
