Transfer News: Radamel Falcao Joins Manchester United On One Season Loan
Colombia star Radamel Falcao will be joining Manchester United at least for one season after a loan deal worth £6 million from French club Monaco. Man U will have the option to extend Falcao’s stay with the team after the deal expires in a year if they pick-up the £43.5 million option
Other teams which have shown interest in signing Falcao were Manchester City, Juventus, Arsenal and Real Madrid but it appears Louis van Gaal’s team will win the battle for his services for the 2014-2015 season and beyond if the partnership goes well.
Falcao took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the transfer to Manchester United.
Moving to @ManUtd was my decision. It's exciting to play at the world's best club and in such a competitive league.

The Red Devils now about £152.3 million total for six players acquired in the 2014 transfer season alone.
Falcao is a veteran campaigner for a number of teams playing for Lancero Boyaca (2002 to 2005); River Plate (2005 to 2009); Porto (2009 to 2011); and Atletico Madrid (2011 to 2013). He signed to play for Monaco in 2013 for £50 million.
Falcao was destined for greatness early. As young as 13 years old, he already became a professional suiting up for the Lanceros Boyaca a tier 2 league in his home country. Falcao is also a Colombian soccer national team constant since 2007 with a total of 51 NT appearances with 20 goals.
However, he missed the recent edition of the World Cup in Brazil due to an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) for the French squad. Falcao already suited up in friendly matches for Monaco at the Emirate Cup and played against Arsenal.
Falcao will be joining a Manchester United squad which features a frontline of Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Angel di Maria. Earlier in the 2014 transfer season, Manchester United also acquired Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Ander Herrera.
