Transfer News: Reasons Why Gareth Bale will be the Most Expensive Flop? (PHOTO & VIDEO)
Real Madrid are all smiles for having secured the signature of Tottenham winger Gareth Bale.
At 24, the young galactico Welshman is entering the prime of his career and is one of the most promising faces in Europe.
But, will he live up to expectations? Or is he just another "Kaka" in the making?
Inexperience
Bale may have been the main man of Tottenham for, at least, the past two seasons, but his CV shows that the last time he played against the best teams in Europe (Champions League), was way back in 2010.
When Kaka went to Real Madrid, he has already won the most prestigious trophy in Europe with AC Milan. Hoiwever, he still failed to take advantage of such experience and was left to rot on the bench.
If a player of Kaka's caliber did not succeed, what more can it do to an inexperienced one like Bale?
Egos
Featuring in a team with a lot of alpha-males makes it all the more difficult to settle in.
Bale may have been successful in Tottenham because there was never a talent that came close to his skill set and capabilities.
It is without a doubt that Cristiano Ronaldo will not relinquish his designation as the focal point on offence as well as Real's poster boy.
If Bale gives in to play second fiddle, his potential will definitely not be realised and the Madrid camp will not be able to get their money's worth.
On the other hand, if he insists to be the number one guy, egos in the locker room will be affected, which may lead to catastrophe and will logically radiate a negative effect on his performance.
History
Bale signed with the Spurs on 2007 with a lot of promise as being one of the hottest prospects in England.
However, it took nearly three seasons before he could establish himself as a first-choice player.
Fortunately for Bale, Tottenham had faith in him despite his shortcomings.
Meanwhile, history says that the people in the Bernabeu, including the fans, are not as patient.
Most of the players only get one shot to turn themselves into household name.
Needless to say, Gareth Bale will only get one shot.
