Gonzalo Higuain could switch jersey anytime soon with Arsenal heavily pursuing the Argentine and Real Madrid striker this off-season, multiple sources reported on Thursday.

According to ESPN FC, Higuain is said to be negotiating with Arsenal for a possible transfer deal worth more than $15 million. Higuain, who scored 107 goals in 187 appearance with the Los Blancos, could be an answer to the Gunners' need of a prolific scoring threat.

Arsenal is reportedly ironing the details of a four-year contract for Higuain before they begin their preparation for the Asian Tour next month.

Meanwhile, Juventus' general director Giuseppe Marotta remains hopeful that Higuain is still available in the market despite the recent transfer rumours.

"Higuain? I do not want to say anything, because there is still so much time left for things to happen," Marotta told Sky Sports. "There is no hurry."

Juventus has been trying to acquire Higuain since last season, believing the Argentine could be the solution to team's lack of attackers upfront.

Sources indicated that Juventus is also exploring on the possibility of bringing in Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez or Fiorentina's Stevan Jovetic, if they failed to land Higuain.
