After the befitting success of "Transformers 4", there is a huge amount of speculation in regards to the sequel. Though the fate of "Transformers 5" is yet to be decided, a slew of plot spoilers have already made their way to the Internet.

According to a report by EnStarz, Roduis Prime and Hot Rod would act as the new saviours of the earth. It is also speculated that Optimus Prime would go off into the space to find its roots.

During the release of "Transformers 4" it was being said that it would give rise to a whole new trilogy and Mark Wahlberg would take the franchise ahead. However, director Michael Bay reportedly had some issue with the paramount pictures and he has no intention of returning back to the franchise.

"There's kind of a new chapter, a new direction in movies I want to make," sais Bay to USA Today about his plans for not returning to fifth instalment, "I have a lot of stories to tell. And it's about flexing new muscles."

Bay reportedly, wants to pass on the steering of "Transformers" to another director. He is currently involved in the projects like Ouija (out Oct. 24) and sci-fi thriller Project Almanac (Jan. 30, 2015). He would also be directing an unnamed TV series.

Meanwhile, it is also predicted that the "Transformers 4's" cast would not be returning for the sequel. The lead of the movie, Wahlberg said in one his interviews that he has never done a sequel.

He said to LA Times that some people think of this movie as a sequel. They thought of it more as a stand-alone thing because he has never done a sequel.

"Transformers 4" was released last June 27 and it raked more than $1 billion at the box office. China was the film's biggest market and if the makers go ahead with the plans of "Transformers 5" then it is sure to draw a huge amount of audience worldwide.
