Teen sensation One Direction's member Liam Payne has got himself into a Twitter rant wherein he led to the trending of hashtag #lazyjournos. Liam Payne instigated this battle with media after he expressed support to reality TV show star Willie Robertson from "Duck Dynasty." He praised them for their "family values" publicly on Twitter which seemed to have disappointed his fans, media, and gay right activists.

One Direction star Liam Payne's Twitter rant erupted when he tweeted "Duck Dynasty" star Willie Robertson and said: "huge love to you/your family huge respect for your business prosperities and the family values you still all behold. big fan."

The rant only flared up when Liam Payne's tweet about "Duck Dynasty" family caught attention by fans and media. The tweet that praises their family and "family values" seemed to have disturbed the fans. It appears fan-favorite Liam Payne disappointed fans and media by supporting the family member who earlier spoke out against homosexuality, giving rise to a controversy.

The Twitter post was posted on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 by One Direction's Liam Payne. And it was responded to by gay rights activist Tyler Oakley who wrote: "Wow. Very confused and disappointed by this @Real_Liam_Payne tweet. This literally changes everything... pic.twitter.com/aQajQdJhfQ."

This was then followed by 11 tweets in 23 minutes and trending of hashtag #lazyjournos, as reported by News.co.au. It seems Liam Payne's tweet disappointed many of his fans as they took to Twitter to respond. But soon the former explained his tweet that he posted praising "Duck Dynasty" family's values clarifying his intentions.

He responded by saying: "Being a fan of someones show and the way they still hold a family together doesnt mean i am ok with all they say." And this tweet was retweeted more than 90,000 times on Twitter.

But as soon as media started reporting the incident, Liam Payne took note of his tweet being tagged as "homophobic tweet." All this and more seemed to infuriate the star which was led by a Twitter rant. Soon a trail of tweets was tweeted by the One Direction singer star expressing his disgust with media making up stories. He said he is "sick of stupid stories" in one of the tweets on Twitter.

He also made it a point to notify his fans that his past tweets are targeted only at the media who cook up stories about him and not his fans. After some 11 tweets, the One Direction star disappeared from the microblogging site Twitter.
