Hollywood actor Jeff Bridges called his latest film TRON: Legacy as "the next-generation of 3D cinematography" after the record-breaking Avatar.

The original film TRON was on its own a "very-cutting edge film" twenty-seven years ago, using 70-milimeter black-and-white frame, which was shipped to Korea where technicians hand-tinted all the frames to make the suits glow.

"Now, in TRON: Legacy, again it's cutting-edge technology," says Bridges, who won an Oscar for his performance in Crazy Hearts last year.

"We're the next-generation of 3-D cinematogaphy after Avatar"

Bridges stars in the newest offering from Walt Disney Pictures in the dual roles of Clu and protagonist Kevin Flynn, a videogame designer trapped in his own creation, the Grid.

In TRON: Legacy, Flynn jumps at the opportunity to return to his home and reunite with his son, after his quest to combine the best of real and digital life banishes him to the world of the Grid, for a very long time.

TRON: Legacy will hit theatres on December 17th in IMAX 3D, Digitial 3D and regular format. It will be distributed world-wide by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
