It will be the final season of "True Blood" when it returns sometime in summer, 2014. There were speculations that the character of Eric Northman might not come back to life. However, the latest buzz is that the character gets to live and also he will get a new love interest.

In the season 6 finale of "True Blood," Eric was sitting atop a snow-clad mountain, reading a book. He was completely nude. A fire consumed his body under the sunlight sky. The scene raised the question: Is Eric dead?

According to E Online!, the fire did not put an end mark on Eric's life. He is all set come back in the final season and that too alive. Moreover, he is going get a love interest, Sylvie. E Online!'s spoiler alert describes Sylvie as someone who is "drop-dead gorgeous" and she can speak French, fluently.

As reported earlier, Brian Buckner, executive producer of "True Blood," had said that they will be using Eric's character in the final season of "True Blood." However, he had not confirmed whether Eric is alive or dead.

Eric & Sookie Lover's site has posted the official casting call for Sylvie's role. It says that the casting is for Episode 7.2. The title of episode is yet to be announced. Written by Brian Buckner and directed by Lee Rose, the episode is scheduled to film sometime in mid-January, 2014.

"Woman AKA Sylvie: 20s, beautiful, French. Must be French and speak French fluently. Love interest to Eric (Alexander Skarsgard)... Episode 2 Arc, on the final season of True Blood," according to the official casting call. "This role requires full frontal nudity excluding genitalia." It looks like the character of Sylvie will be there for only an episode.

Stephen Moyer, who plays the role of Bill Compton, will don the director's hat for the premiere episode of the final season. Buckner has promised to bring "Sookie's story to a close with heart, imagination and, of course, fun." The final season of "True Blood" consists of only ten episodes.
