"True Blood" has roped in Nathan Parsons to play the role of James, originally played by Luke Grimes. Parsons is joining the cast of "True Blood" as a series regular.

TV Line reports that James will find himself in a love triangle. The two continued their relationship after Bill set them free. James is likely to battle Jason to keep Jessica by his side.

Luke Grimes quit "True Blood," as he was dissatisfied with his character's storyline in the final season. An insider had said to TV Line: "He initially joined the show because he wanted to work with [his Forever co-star] Deborah Ann Woll."

The script of Season 7 disappointed Grimes, as the writing team of "True Blood were going on a "completely different direct with James."

The episodes of the upcoming will reveal if that disappointment was related to the love triangle, or something else. Grimes has bagged a role in "Fifty Shades of Grey." He is portraying the role of Christian Grey's bother, Elliot.

Huffington Post has revealed that "True Blood" character, Willa, is going to get more screen time in the final season. The character of Willa was also introduced in Season 6.

The filming on the final season of "True Blood" has begun. The first two episodes are currently being shot. Stephen Moyer, who plays Bill Compton, is directing the premiere episode, "Jesus Gonna Be Here."

The premiere episode will feature multiple-flashback scenes, which will show Tara and Sookie as little girls. A good number of new characters will be introduced in "Jesus Gonna Be Here." The final season of "True Blood" will focus on the original theme: human-vampire relationship.

"True Blood" is scheduled to return on HBO sometime in June, 2014, with ten episodes.
