Luke Grimms has quit "True Blood." The actor who portrays James, the vampire-lover of Jessica, has decided to leave "True Blood" as he was disappointed with the way his story was shaping-up in the final season.

Citing a source close of the actor, TV Line reports that when Grimmis learned about what is in store for his character in the upcoming, final season, he asked the producers to end his contract.

"He initially joined the show because he wanted to work with [his Forever co-star] Deborah Ann Woll," an insider said to TV Line. "But when he started reading the scripts for Season 7, he was disappointed to learn that they were going in a completely different direction with James."

Grimms recently bagged the role of Christian Grey's brother, Elliot, in the mommy porn movie, "Fifty Shades of Grey." It looks like the movie role might have made it easier for him to quit "True Blood." The actor can now completely concentrate on "Fifty Shades of Grey."

An HBO's representative has confirmed the news. A new actor will now play the role of James. According to the representative, "the role of James is being recast due to the creative direction of the character."

As reported earlier, Eric will be shown as 'not' dead in the final season. He is likely to get a new love interest in the form of a beautiful French lady in episode 2. The lady is called Sylvie.

"True Blood" is scheduled to return for its final season sometime this summer, with ten episodes. The premiere episode is called "Jesus Gonna be Here," which is directed by Stephen Moyer. The filming on Season 7 is all set to begin this month.

The premiere episode will have a number of flashbacks and there will be introduction of new characters. For its final season, "True Blood" is returning to its original theme: "for every vampire, a human; for every human, a vampire."
