‘True Blood’ Star Anna Paquin’s Drunken Fight with Husband Stephen Moyer – Report
Anna Paquin had an embarrassing drunken night at the premiere of “True Blood” in Los Angeles, a claim denied by the actress’ camp. According to a report, the 31-year-old Oscar winner angered co-star and husband Stephen Moyer during the party when she had a bit too much of alcohol.
Star magazine claimed that Paquin wasn’t the meek and private individual that she appeared to be. Apparently, she was spotted having a drunken argument with Moyer after she exhibited an out-of-control behaviour at their TV show’s season premiere.
“She was stumbling around and slurring her words. She was throwing back champagne and went from being gracious and charming to thrashed in a matter of two hours. It was obvious that this wasn’t the first time Anna’s gotten out of control,” the source told the tabloid.
“You could hear Stephen angrily saying, ‘Why tonight? Out of all the events to get wasted at, you pick one of the most important nights for the show! You need help!’”
However, as a lot of juicy gossips go, this story appeared to be false.
RumourFix has reached out to Paquin, whose rep said the report is a “complete fabrication.”
Paquin and Moyer, who met and got married while filming the HBO vampire show, have never been a tabloid fixture. Even though both do a lot of nude and sex scenes in the show with their other co-stars, they never seemed to be bothered by it.
In fact, Moyer often directs his wife’s sex scenes.
“There are moments where I’ll be watching on a monitor [and say], ‘Oh, Joe, just move your hand up towards Anna’s breast. Good. And can you move your right thumb just a little bit towards her nipple? Great.’ And then I’ll go, ‘Babe, babe, enjoy it.’ I’m certainly talking to her as ‘babe.’ D’Darling, go for it. Yeah, feel the nipple,’” he told Entertainment Weekly, referring to their co-star Joe Manganiello.
“We set the bar very high for weird very early on. We’ve done a lot of odd s*** on this show,” Paquin agreed, adding, “Actually, the potential awkward couplings [are] not the weirdest s*** that we’ve done on this show.”
“True Blood” is currently in its seventh and last season.
