It only took five weeks before 'Dancing With The Stars' contestants started falling injured one after another.

During the most recent season of the dance off, it was Shannon Noll who had to be treated for a back surgery. In fact, he just joined in the injured contestant list consisting of Zoe Cramond with four broken ribs and Erin McNaught, suffering from a haematoma on her kidney caused by a fall during one of their rehearsals.

Other injured contestants are Kerri-Anne Kennerley, who has a toe injury, and Brendan Fevola who complained about a series of pain in the groin.

All these led to the assumption that the contestants may be pushing themselves too hard this season. According to the show's spokesman, they have always encountered several injuries across all the seasons. This is one reason why they guide their celebrity contestants with professional dancing partners.

Noll's spine injury was discovered to be a disc injury, which required him to quit the show for a surgery and rehab treatment of six weeks. This is the first time that a contestant in the famous Aussie show was forced to back out due to a serious injury.
