Tupac Shakur is Alive: Rapper Spotted at Boston Celtics vs. Golden State Warriors Game
American rap legend Tupac Shakur is alive and even having a great time watching an NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics on Wednesday at the TD Garden in Boston Massachusetts (well, sort of).
Shakur, the man behind the best-selling album "All Eyez on Me," was spotted in an NBA game accompanied by a pretty blonde. It was almost decades ago that Shakur was gunned down on the Las Vegas Strip, mainly because of the conflict between Eastside and Westside rappers during that era. However, the 2Pac lookalike really caught attention in the arena - including the in-game cameraman - prompting everybody to come up with "We Want Tupac" chant.
Sportsmasher reported 2Pac's sightings at TD Garden, calling it a "rise from dead" occasion:
"Tupac Shakur died in a shooting on the Las Vegas Strip on September 13th 1996. However, since that day rumors have circulated that Tupac faked his own death, and he was alive on an island somewhere drinking Hennessy away from the spotlight. Those rumors may be true, because a Tupac Shakur look-a-like was spotted at the Boston Celtics game tonight, who looked so convincing that a 'We Want Tupac' chant erupted from the crowd. Apparently Tupac is alive, he's in Boston, and he loves basketball and white women.
So which music legend rises from the dead and appears at a sporting event next? I'm guessing Elvis shows up court side at the next Memphis Grizzlies home game, but maybe Kurt Cobain reveals himself to be the actual "12th Man" behind the Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl Championship," via Sportsmasher.
America Still Remembers 2Pac
Though it's pretty much a publicity stunt by a 2Pac fan, it's still nice to see people appreciate 2Pac's contribution in the American music industry. Shakur was more than just a rap legend in the 90s but an icon, paving the way for other rap businesses to elevate into another level and inspiring famous artists such as Lil Wayne, Jay-Z and even Eminem.
Shakur might be already dead for the last 18 years, but his legacy really lives on. Props to the fan for such feat.
