Fans of "Fifty Shades of Grey" have yet another actress who could play the lead role of Anastasia Steele in the highly-anticipated film adaptation.

Ditching the pale look and blonde hair, Nikki Reed of "Twilight" has expressed interest in the BDSM-themed film. Given Reed's closeness with "Fifty Shades" producer, Dana Brunetti, will Nikki Reed be the Anastasia Steele fans have been searching for?

E.L. James best-selling erotica novel continues dance in the limelight. In fact, a lot of readers are hooked by the novels and have joined the bandwagon of fans searching for suitable actors and actresses fit for the lead roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

In a lot of web polls, Ian Somerhalder is the fan favourite for the role of 27-year old entrepreneur, Christian Grey. As for the role of Ana, Alexis Bledel continuously ranks one in a lot of fan-made polls. Other fan favourites for the lead roles include Matt Bomer, Henry Cavill, Emilia Clarke and Felicity Jones.

Despite E.L. James announcement that Stewart and Pattinson would not be in the film adaptation, some fans of "Fifty" still insist that Kristen and Robert have a chance at nabbing the role. Yet, it looks as Kristen Stewart has her work cut out for her with the latest competition from "Twilight" co-star, Nikki Reed.

Nikki Reed, who plays Rosalie Cullen in "Twilight", has expressed interest in the role of Anastasia Steele. The actress has a big chance at getting the role given Nikki is "good" friends with "Fifty Shades of Grey" producer, Dana Brunetti.

"I love Dana I've known Dana since I was 15-years-old," said Nikki, adding, "I formed a very close bond with Dana and Dana's wife, and I've lived with them off and on and they're like my brother and sister so I speak to them daily, and I can't wait to watch where this [Fifty Shades of Grey] goes."

So would the "Twilight" star ever consider starring in the racy film?

"I would consider working with Dana in any form," explained Nikki.
