That famous line from the movie The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 was tattooed on the chest area of former Glee Star Charice Pempengco as a love offering for her girlfriend, upcoming singer Alyssa Quijano.

Charice, who admitted being lesbian on Sunday over ABS-CBN gossip show The Buzz, also is now more open to admitting have a same-sex relationship with Alyssa, who was a rival in singing competitions their younger years.

The tattoo reads: "LET'S START WITH FOREVER" which was taken from the wedding toast of Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattison) for Bella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart. The complete line was, "No measure of time with you will be long enough, but let's start with forever."

Charice and Alyssa were interviewed by media for the first time as a couple on Monday. Pep.ph, quoting InterAksyon.com, said the pair wore identical rings that are symbols of their love for one another.

"She's like my everything," the 21-year-old singer described Alyssa, who is also a sister and best friend, aside from being her girlfriend.

Alyssa, 19, who initially renewed her friendship with Charice when she competed in an ABS-CBN talent contest where Charice served as judge and mentor, lost in the competition but won the heart of her childhood rival.

Meanwhile, Charice's public admission of her gender preference could spark another debate if being gay could be changed following the comment by Fr Melvin Castro, executive secretary of the Episcopal Commission on Family and Life of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines, that the public should not pre-judge Charice but instead guide her as she undergoes an identity crisis.

"Let's hope that there will be people out there that will help guide her with her sexual orientation called same-sex attraction," the Manila Bulletin quoted the priest.

He believes the Pempengco family as well as her friends should come in and intervene to help her realise that having a same-sex attraction does not mean she has to engage in a lesbian relationship.

However, those who opted to make the switch from gay to straight such as Anthony Roquel, a Filipino comedian, admitted the journey was a difficult one. "It was a very difficult journey. It was not an overnight change, but I held on to my faith," he was quoted by ABS-CBN.
