Are Twilight die-hard fans ready for this?‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ featuring the popular real-life couple, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart is one among the frontrunners for filmmakers’ most unwanted film recognition – the Golden Raspberry Awards, or the Razzies.

With the Twilight series is ‘The Last Airbender’ and both are the frontrunners, having been nominated for nine categories at the Razzies.

Enumerated by The Chronicle, these awards include Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel. Names of Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner came out competing for the Worst Actor title while Kristen Stewart is up for Worst Actress.

The Chronicle added that ‘Last Airbender’ is also neck to neck with Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ in the categories for the Worst Picture and Worst Screenplay.In danger to get the Worst Director award is M. Night Shyamalan.

Also facing off for the new prize, the Worst Eye-Gouging Misuse of 3-D Award are the films 'Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore', 'Clash of the Titans', 'The Nutcracker in 3D' and 'Saw 3D'.The new category noted The Chronicle was created as sign of Hollywood’s trends today to create 3-D movies, resulting from the success brought by ‘Avatar’.

Expecting to get some flak from millions of Twilight supporters, Razzies founder John Wilson was quoted by The Chronicle as saying, 'Twilight Saga: Eclipse' is up for,: "I know people who are into 'Twilight' who take it totally seriously and they're very vociferous. Those of us who are not 'Twi-hards', we don't get it. I don't actually know any teenage girls who have had to make the choice between a werewolf and a vampire."
