Twilight star Robert Pattinson is winning hearts wherever his current road trip stops. The latest is a report from a fan who barely recognized Pattinson beneath his "scruffiness." Pattinson has been on the road with his friends, stopping at Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.

The fans encounter happened when Robert Pattinson visited the Buddy Holly museum in Lubbock, Texas where he was swarmed by female fans during a stop at Cricket's Bar. The fan, who was with her 14-month old baby when the encounter with Patiinson happened, said that Robert was "scruffy and all" but she recognized Pattinson because of "his sweet voice."

"I was rounding a corner with the stroller & there he was scruffy & all...I just spit out 'rob is that you?' he turned around...looked at me & started laughing & said 'no no you've got the wrong guy' but duh I heard his sweet voice I knew it was him, " the fan said in post at IMDB about her encounter with the Twilight star.

"He kept smiling my 14 month old was babbling so Rob bent down a little & said 'hi there'...Rob was soo nice & polite even tho he looked sleepy."

Apparently, fans are tracking Robert Pattinson's whereabouts through the internet with sites like Twitter and Facebook (He is one of the most searched Hollywood star in Yahoo! and Google, too), as Pattinson, ever conscious of his privacy, asked the lady not to post anything about the encounter for a few hours.

"[Robert Pattinson] said he was going to head out & asked me nicely not to post anything about his whereabouts for a few hours," narrated the fan.

"He gave my son's hand a little tug & said 'nice meeting you', then he said the biggest compliment ever, 'i hope when I have a kid he's as beautiful as you! ( talking to my son)"

Reportedly, Pattinson is heading east towards New Orleans where Kristen Stewart is currently shooting for her non-Twilight feature On The Road.
