Here's the thing about starring in an ultra successful franchise: One day it will all end, the seven figure cheques will stop coming through and you will be stereotyped as the character you played, for eternity.

Kristen Stewart: Contrary to what the memes say, Kristen is no stranger to acting. She has been around the industry for years, playing an elder sister here, a high school freshman there. However, there's no denying that the Twilight Saga made short work of catapulting her to stardom. It's been but a few months since the last Twilight instalment opened to, and Kristen has already set sail in showbiz land, with a fantasy film opposite Chris Hemsworth, Snow White And The Huntsman, already under her belt. She will next be seen playing muse to a shoe designer in The Big Shoe.

Robert Pattinson: For most actors, starring in a successful franchise is the stuff of dreams, but Robert Pattinson holds the distinction of starring in two. As the valiant Triwizard champion, Robert died a hero's death in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - And came to life as the immortal Edward Cullen, just a year later. In the six months since Twilight ended, teenage girls around the world have been wearing a decidedly forlorn look, as is the pancake makeup industry in the absence of their favourite customer. Robert has been since been cast in several independent films, including Bel Ami and Cosmopolis, but it isn't as much as we want to see.

Taylor Lautner: The end of the franchise left Taylor (and the million fan girls that Team Jacob boasts of) at a loose end, but in between the Most Amazing Bodies' list that this actor regularly features on, we'd be lying if we said we'd noticed his absence. Apart from the besotted werewolf Jacob Black, Taylor has portrayed a troubled teenager in Abduction and will soon be seen in the sequel to the 2010 laugh riot, Grown Ups.
