Although "Twilight" actors and former couple, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, failed to reunite during the holidays, their undying love help them find ways to get closer.

The couple who is reportedly in the process of reconciling their differences and rekindling their romance is constantly keeping in touch. Amid reunion rumors of Pattinson and Stewart, new reports emerged claiming the former co-stars are keeping in touch through Skype and text. While both the actors are busy building their careers with their much anticipated new projects, the couple make it a point to get in contact.

HollywoodLife.com reported a friend of Stewart has dished out some info on the couple who are allegedly on the path of reconciliation. Despite Pattinson's dating rumors with Hollywood actors like Dylan Penn and British artist Nettie Wakefield, the two are beleived to be in touch with each other.

According to other reports, the two actors take time to Skype each other "at least once a week."

"Kristen and Rob have been keeping in touch by Skyping. They make sure to Skype at least once a week and text in between, and send each other funny photos," a friend close to Stewart said to HollywoodLife.com while speaking about her relationship with Pattinson.

Also, the source revealed that the distance between the couple has not really hampered their relationship but has only brought them closer. "Being away from each other has actually made them closer," the source added.

Earlier, reports noted Stewart was disappointed with alleged love interest Pattinson for not visiting her in LA on New Year's Eve. It was reported that the actor went back to London at that time and Stewart was looking forward to seeing him before he eventually left for Morocco for his upcoming movie, "Queen of The Desert."

As she continues to see Pattinson before he leaves for filming his new project. "Kristen has no solid plans to see Rob. She still wants to see him before he leaves for Morocco to film "Queen of the Desert," but that's unlikely. She's come to terms with it and she's being patient. She knows when they finally do see each other it will be some much-needed quality time," the source told HollywoodLife.com.

In the meantime, while Pattinson will be busy shooting for his upcoming films, like "Queen of The Desert," opposite Australian actress Nicole Kidman, "Twilight" co-star and former girlfriend Kristen Stewart will prep for the new film, "Equals." Amid the reunion rumors of the two big couples of Hollywood, including Pattinson and Stewart and Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult, reports surfaced that Stewart and Nicholas Hoult will be starring as lovers in George Orwell's classic love novel, "1984's" movie adaptation.
