‘Twin Peaks’ season 3 is brave, hilarious, fiery, deep, poignant
“Twin Peaks” season 3 is returning to TV with most of the old cast members. However, there are several new additions as well. One of them is Laura Dern, who will appear in a top secret pivotal role in the 2017 season. The two-time Oscar nominee recently talked about the show and said it is going to be “brave and fiery.”
Laura Dern is as excited as fans are about the revival of the show. “People have to tune in, because I am just so excited about it. It’s brave and fiery and deep, poignant and hilarious,” she said.
Dern has lately received praise for her role in the Raymond Croc biopic, “The Founder.” Ray Croc was the founder of fast-food chain McDonald's. She has worked with Lynch in a few film projects, including “Inland Empire” (2006), “Wild at Heart” (1990) and “Blue Velvet” (1986). She said that his works are a must-watch for everyone. “You must always watch when David Lynch makes anything. I believe it’s what keeps art going. It should be a prerequisite,” she told Vanity Fair.

Likewise, Laura Dern is keeping tight-lipped on details. During the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Jan. 9, she was asked about the role she is playing in the series. Dern dodged the question by saying, “I will tell I am playing my very own character different from their characters.” On the other side, when Lynch was asked about her role, he refused to give out any information. He only said, "I love Laura Dern."
Talking on her experience of working with Lynch again, Dern said, “He gives a breathe, a shrug of the shoulder or sigh.” She added that his process hasn’t changed since day one. “It’s always felt like family, it’s a very joyous, inventive place where you feel safe to be brave.”
