Justin Bieber may be the most followed celebrity on Twitter but it's all thanks to fake fans with fake accounts. In a survey and research done by Socialbakers.com, Justin proved to be a phenomenal Twitter account with his millions of followers. However, almost fifteen-millions of these accounts were inactive. Are these Twitter accounts made by real people or done by Justin's PR team?

Fans are main reason why one celebrity rises to fame. The more fans one celebrity has equal more exposure. Justin Bieber's PR team obviously saw this tactic effective for social networking sites such as Twitter. Recently, Bieber was named the "King of Twitter" due to his millions of followers. The Canadian crooner managed to beat reigning queen, Lady Gaga.

Yet, not all of Justin Bieber's followers on Twitter are golden. In a research done by Socialbakers.com, Justin's Twitter account with over 37.2 million followers isn't all real. Almost 16 million of these accounts are run by fake "Beliebers."

"Almost 16.7 million of those followers are fake or empty accounts and another 2.6 million accounts are inactive. Bieber's 17.8 million "good" followers still make him the second-most popular Twitter user behind Lady Gaga who has 19 million real followers," states Socialbakers.com

With the facts stated clearly by Socialbakers.com, how have "Beliebers" reacted? Obviously, some are claiming the research is another way to say Bieber is spiralling down from the fame while a few other fans are shocked about the numbers.

"It's annoying how Justin fans always say 'oh he's the most followers on twitter!!!111' well look at this evidence hurr.. that half his followers are fake and I've always known that desperate lame fans make multiple accounts," comments one user on OceanUp.com

"I'm dying! I didn't see that coming XD But imagine the hate tho :/," added user Snowflakelove12.

"I've always told this every time a belieber stated the fact that he's the most followed on twitter, like if that means he's better singer for having more followers. Now i'm going to start using this chart as a come back," stated another user.

For one, Justin is certainly not the "King of Twitter" basing it on that chart. Who among the celebrities on Twitter deserves that title then?
