Two Aussies To Fight in Undercard of Kampman-Condit UFC Clash in August
Benny Alloway faces fellow TUF Alumni Zak Cummings; Whittaker Tests
Australian mixed martial arts fighter Benny "Blanco" Alloway and Robert Whittaker are slated to fight in the undercards of the UFC on Fox Sports 1 showdown between Martin Kampmann and Carlos Condit in Indianapolis in August.
Alloway, who reached the semifinal round of the TUF: The Smashes in 2012, will be fighting another alumni of the Ultimate Fighter in Zak Cummings.
Boasting a record of 13 wins and 4 losses, Alloway is tapped as the favorite in his upcoming bout despite coming off a majority decision loss to Ryan LaFlare in Stockholm two months ago.
Alloway's first UFC victory came in a way of knockout against Manny Rodriguez in the finale of The Ultimate Fighter: Smashes in his hometown at Gold Coast in December 2012.
Meanwhile on that night, Whittaker (11-2 with five KOs and five submission victories) also scored a unanimous decision win over Brad Scott to capture the TUF: The Smashes welterweight title. Whittaker has been impressive since then, demolishing former TUF series 16 winner Colton Smith in his next bout at UFC 160 in Las Vegas in May.
Whittaker is headed to a showdown with TUF 11 middleweight winner Court McGee, who booked a unanimous decision win over Josh Neer at UFC 157 - his first fight since stepping down as a welterweight.
