Tyler Posey: 'Teen Wolf' Actor Tweets About Taking A Break From Social Media
"Teen Wolf" star Tyler Posey is not only taking a break from the hit supernatural MTV series. The 23-year-old actor took to Twitter his announcement of taking a break as well from social media.
"Hey guys I'm gonna be taking a little break from social media. Thank you for all of the support, I love you guys. I'll be back soon," Posey posted on his Twitter account @tylergposey for his more than a million followers last Monday, Dec. 8. However, the "Teen Wolf" actor did not reveal the reason for his social media break.
Some fans of the young actor wondered why Tyler Posey suddenly stopped sharing or interacting on the social media site while the others offered the "Teen Wolf" star with their unwavering love and support. According to a Movie Pilot report, "Teen Wolf" is scheduled to begin filming season 5 in February 2015 so Tyler Posey's break from social media is not because of work.
The reason behind Tyler Posey's decision of appears to be a personal one since the actor is going through some trials in his life. Aside from his engagement to Seana Gorlick being called off, Tyler Posey devotes his free time taking care of his mother who is battling breast cancer.
An E!Online TV Scoop report revealed that actor Tyler Posey talked about his struggle with his mother's illness in the AOL series titled "My Hero." The MTV star shared that he initially did not want to accept or talk about the health condition of her mother but he was able to find strength and be open about it through the "Teen Wolf" fandom.
Tyler Posey explained that he finds it nice being open about her mom's illness because it also opened the doors to other people comforting him and sharing experiences with him.
"Sharing and being open about it is a really good thing," Posey stated. The actor further added that his mother has been recently open as well when it comes to her battle with cancer.
"It was perfect. It's awesome for her to know how much I love her," the "Maid in Manhattan" star shared. For the fans wondering when they can see Tyler Posey as Scott McCall, "Teen Wolf" Season 5 is expected to premiere in June 2015.
The brand new season will be split into two parts with a total of 20 episodes. However, Movie Pilot reports that "Teen Wolf" Season 5 will have only one continuous storyline for the two parts unlike in "Teen Wolf" Season 3. In a previous report, Tyler Posey teased that "Teen Wolf" Season 5 is going to be "badass."
