Tyler Posey: 'Teen Wolf' Star Back On Twitter, Express Gratitude For The Fans' Love And Support During Difficult Time

"Teen Wolf" star Tyler Posey recently returned on Twitter after declaring earlier this December that he is taking a break from the social media site. On Sunday, Dec. 28, the 23-year-old actor posted a message that expressed gratitude to his more than one million followers who showed love and support during his difficult time.

"Just want to say thank you for all the love and the support my guys :) you all mean so much to me. I wish I could repay the favor!" Posey posted on his Twitter account @tylergposey. Speculations on the death of Tyler's mom as the reason behind the actor's decision to take a break surfaced online.

The news about the death of Tyler's mom, Cyndi Garcia-Posey, got confirmed on Sunday, Dec. 28, when a local newspaper in Santa Clarita, California posted her obituary. According to a Just Jared Jr. report, Tyler Posey sadly lost his mom at the age of 55 last Dec. 12 to breast cancer which she has been battling for the past four years.

In the obituary, Tyler's mom has been described as someone who had a "huge heart and possibly an even bigger smile." The young actor did not address his heartbreaking loss on the social networking site but he recently reached out to thank his fans for their unwavering support.

The fans can recall that Tyler Posey honoured his mom on Zoe Saldana's AOL Web series titled "My Hero" where celebrities pay tribute to the person who they consider a hero in their lives. "My mum is a hero to me - I don't think I could pull off her bravery... She kept our family together while going through chemo (therapy) and dying... She's been this rock. She knows how much we love her, and she deserves to hear it," Posey stated about his mom in "My Hero," according to a Hollywood.com report.

Additionally, the young actor surprised his mother with gifts such as a basket of Irish goods and her dream vacation in Ireland. The obituary revealed that Cyndi Terese Garcia-Posey left behind her actor-writer husband, John, and her three sons, Derek, Tyler and Jesse, who is still a college student.

Meanwhile, the fans must patiently wait for Tyler Posey's return as Scott McCall in "Teen Wolf" Season 5 which is expected to premiere on June 2015.
