The band U2 had revealed the dates for their December 2010 concert in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth as part of the band's '360 Degrees' Tour.

On December 1, the Irish band will play at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne.Tickets for the Australian leg of U2's tour will start selling on September 3 with prices as low as $40 dollars. Promoters attibute the 'large number of low-priced tickets' to the extra-capacity afforded by the 360 degrees production.

The concert will be held in a 'in-the-round' stage which offers view from very angle, complete with rotating bridges and video system. The tour is not apparently called '360 Degrees' for nothing.

U2 manager Paul McGuiness says, 'U2 has always been at their best when surrounded by their audience, and this extraordinary production makes that happen in stadiums.'

Last week, the band's frontman Bono announced that U2 is set to release a new album. He told Rolling Stone that they are working on 'club-sounding' album. U2 also plans to release a rock album and Songs of Ascent.

The latter is a set of tunes from the recording session of the band's 2009 No Line On the Horizon.
