U2 announces second play date for Perth, Australia
Irish band U2 has announced a second concert date at Subiaco Oval. The December 18 engagement has sold out quickly, but West Australians who missed out on the ticket sale can now buy tickets for U2 360 Degree Tour, as the band will play again on December 19.
U2's Subiaco Oval December 18 performance just went on sale today at 9 in the morning and is already sold out. The 360 Tour sold more than 43,000 tickets within just 10 minutes. Tickets for the December 19 play dates are currently on sale.
On both play date, rapper Jay-Z will support the band. It was earlier revealed by Billboard that Jay-Z despite his already hectic schedule will join U2 on Perth's stop of their five-city Australian tour.
As previously reported, the concert will begin in Auckland's Mount Smart Stadium on November 25. On December 1, the Irish band will play at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, and make its way to Brisbane and Sydney. It will conclude at Perth's Subiaco Oval on December 18 and 19.
The concert will be held in a 'in-the-round' stage which offers view from very angle, complete with rotating bridges and video system.
