Johny Hendricks is going to challenge Georges St. Pierre on their Saturday bout, and he is determined to snag the title from the Canadian mixed martial artist. St Pierre is currently the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion with the longest title reign.

"I am not going to say anything bad about George," said Hendricks. "I will be the new champion, I just think that it is my turn to be the new champion," he added.

Hendricks was an accomplished wrester. He used to represent Edmond Memorial High School. He is ranked as the number 1 contender in the Welterweight division in the world by the official Web site of UFC. He is widely recognised from being able to throw powerful punches to his opponent, predominantly by using his left hand.

Hendricks is training real hard so he can fight at his best come Saturday. He has carefully studied how St Pierre fights, and he expects that St. Pierre will be doing what he had done during UFC 124.

"Georges is going to jab and jab," said Hendricks. "Then, he will probably try to outbalance me, that's for sure," he added. "I believe that is his main game technique, he will try to take me down as much as he can and I will definitely prepare myself for that," said Hendricks.

In all Hendricks' fights, he has not been taken down more than a couple of times in a UFC match. St Pierre, on the other hand, has only been taken down twice, by Koscheck, in his last 10 UFC fights.

"Everybody keeps doubting me and I love that," Johny told UFC Tonight. "Hopefully, I can shock the world on Saturday," he added.

St Pierre is currently on an 11-fight winning streak. We will soon find out if Hendricks will indeed be the new champ and put an end to the Canadian's victory streak.
