Court McGee vs. Robert Whittaker is a fight between two Ultimate Fighter alumni battling for a top spot in the welterweight division.

Round 1

McGee closes the distance and tries to take his opponent down. Two minutes pass and there is a few action going on, with both fighters trying to seize each other up on the feet. McGee backs his opponent with combinations and tries to take him down but with no success. Whittaker gets back in the feet. There is another exchange of two-punch combinations. Another failed takedown attempt from McGee ends the first round.

Round 2

McGee takes the center of the Octagon and pressures Whittaker. McGee lands a big punch and grazes Whittaker. Kudos for Whittaker for being able to get up after that punch. McGee lands a take down and almost got his opponent's back. McGee is doing well in combining strikes with takedown attempts. It seems to confuse his opponent.

Whittaker lands some jabs and there seems to be a cut in McGee's right eye. Less than a minute to go before the end of the round and both fighters seem to gas out a little bit because of their exchanges.

A knee to the body for Whittaker and the round ends.

Round 3

Whittaker tries to land his jab on McGee's right eye. A spinning back kick from McGee gets the crowd excited. McGee lands a combination of leg kicks and punches. Whittaker answers with his right hand. Whittaker lands a left hook and a left elbow. McGee seems gassed out. Whittaker is gaining momentum and continues to land short elbows.

McGee is trying hard to get this round and resorts to pressuring his opponent until the round ends.

Result

Another split decision for tonight. McGee gets the win.
