A UFO sighting in Phoenix on Jan. 16 was reported to MUFON (Mutual UFO Network), with a number of witnesses saying they saw the strange lights, too.

The witness, who did not leave a name, said she was driving along the elevated part of the North Valley when she saw some strange lights. She claims she has grown accustomed to the scenery there, but something strange appeared that night.

"I always can see the city lights, airplane traffic, Luke jets etc." She writes in her report.

"I glance over and see 4 HUGE glowing orangish goldish lights hovering over the valley (if I had to guess the area would be 1-10ish and maybe right around 11th ave). I immediately pulled over and started taking pictures with my cell phone. I also took video as well." (Scroll down for the video this witness uploaded to MUFON.)

The witness went on to say that she checked for similar accounts online and saw that quite a few others witnessed the same thing.

"I have seen plenty of military flares in my life time and watched several shows after the 97 lights and how they tried to make the flares look just like the lights over Phoenix with no luck... These were DEFINITELY not flares!!!"

RealUFOs.net picked up the UFO sighting in Phoenix report, and received comments from other witnesses.

"My 14-year-old happened to look out an upstairs bedroom window. He got my husband [a jet pilot] to look at the strange lights... [Husband] thought the UFO were around the deer valley area," a reader commented.

"Right now I am filming a UFO over Phoenix. Looks a lot like the lights over Phoenix... The four lights across the screen right now are orange, very, very large," the witness narrates while she filmed the UFO sighting.
