A UFO watcher on Sunday uploaded to YouTube his footage of a strange disc-shaped object outside a plane going to Houston, Texas. The video uploader claims to have sent the video clip to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to validate the sighting.

The video shows a lighted object that does not seem to be a reflection of anything inside the plane. As the camera zooms in closer, details of what seems to be a disc-shaped flying object were captured in the film. But some of those who commented on the topic are wary that the video may have been edited for sensationalism.

YouTube user Mauricio Ruiz notes in his video clip description:

"The actual footage in its original content was sent to the FAA for further review. UFOlogist and investigators please be patient. Let FAA do their review in fairness to all. Thanks."

Ruiz' plane was "en route from LA GUARDIA AIRPORT to HOUSTON,TX over the skies of CHICAGO, IL" when the footage was taken.

On Wednesday, Ruiz left this comment to the curious viewers:

"I have sent to the FAA the short footage for them to review it and give me some explanation as to what it could have been. I will keep you all posted on what they say. Granted, it could be anything from a distance. However the footage is real and it is now under the hands of the FAA . I do not want anyone else to handle this until the FAA returns their input. Please give me time. Many have requested interviews and the actual footage. UFOlogist please be patient. Thanks."
