Indie rock legends Arctic Monkeys have announced a second show in the country aside from their appearance at the Busselton Festival on January.

The band famous for the hit "I Bet You Look Good on the Dance Floor" will give fans a chance to see an exclusive show before their anticipated appearance on January's Busselton Festival. On January 6, the night before they are set to open the music fest, the band will perform at the Belvoir Amphitheatre for an exclusive "over-18 only" show. Tickets are yet to be sold, but those interested are encouraged to visit Ticketmaster.com.au's Arctic Monkeys event page from time to time.

The additional show was announced when vocalist Alex Turner split from girlfriend Alexa Chung, an MTV presenter, whom he has been with for quite some time. It was said that the pair wanted to concentrate on their careers, Alexa on her commercials and shows while Alex on the band.

Arctic Monkeys is one of the first few bands to gain worldwide acclaim through social networking. After making a couple songs in 2002, the band gained recognition by posting songs in their MySpace account, where fans from all over the world can listen and download for free. Their debut album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not became the fastest rising album in UK in 2006, and remains to be one of rock and roll's most listened albums of all time.
