Former "Big Brother UK" star Rodrigo Lopes (photo) is in a coma following the discovery of a brain tumour.

Rodrigo Lopes came in fifth in the tenth series of the Channel 4 reality show "Big Brother" in UK in 2009. He now goes by the name of Rebekah Shelton (photo), after deciding to live as a woman in 2012. A family member of the former housemate took to Rebekah Shelton's twitter account to share the heart-breaking news.

"The doctors found a head tumour and she is in coma. We cannot speak anymore. Please just pray for our Rebekah."

"We from Rebekah's family ask your prayers. She will be back to us."

Then the latest feed was posted.

Rebekah's twitter bio has now been changed to read: "EX BB UK Rodrigo Lopes fighting for his life.#prayforrodrigo".

According to Daily Star, the tragic news of Rebekah's condition came just two years after one of her series ten housemates passed away. Sophia Brown, the second housemate to be evicted, died of Lupus on May 17, 2012.

Rebekah Shelton is widely known as the loveable housemate who shared her transformation into a woman in her Twitter account. Heatworld reported that she had a boob job and shared the transformation in her Twitter account (photo), which garnered her plenty of positive comments. However, living as a woman hasn't been easy on the employment side for Rebekah. She found it difficult to earn money in other professions, and she needed that money to have gender reassignment surgery. Thus she turned into prostitution in Brazil since October 2013, saving the money she earned "sleeping with men" to fund her operation in the future. Now, the money she earned may have to be used for her hospitalisation and treatment as she is now lying in a coma in her hometown in Brazil.
