The Ultimate Fighter 18: Ronda Rousey vs. Miesha Tate, What to Expect from the All-Girl Teams
The trash talks
The two coaches, who have fought already at Strikeforce in 2012, with Rousey winning the women's bantamweight title via submission, have a history of verbal jabbing each other in the media. Tate has criticized in the past Rousey's nude pictorial for the ESPN Magazine's Body Issue. "Any1 else think it's hypocritical 4 Ronda Rousey 2 talk crap about ring girls in playboy but it's totally fine 2 pose 'artistically nude'?" she tweeted.
Rousey, on the other hand, is also keen on attacking Tate verbally. The UFC women's bantamweight champion has said before (when asked about the idea of beating a man in an MMA fight) that she could beat her arch rival's long-time boyfriend, Bryan Caraway.
Expect more verbal attacks from these two ladies when they share the same house during their stint as coaches of The Ultimate Fighter 19.
Fashion display
If there's one thing ladies bring uniquely in MMA, it should be great fashion sense. From the weigh-ins to the actual fight itself, female fighters seem to know pretty well how to entertain audiences not only by fighting really well but also by dressing up to be pleasing to their eyes. We've seen it during the Strikeforce era (before it was acquired by the UFC) and a little bit of it during the women's debut in the UFC. Women fighters certainly know how to sizzle things up inside the fight arena.
Let's just hope that there wouldn't be a lot of wardrobe malfunctions between fights (like what we've seen in Rousey's last Octagon appearance) because let's admit it, the focus should be on the fight and not on visuals like that.
