'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' to follow in the footsteps of 'The Last Of Us' and 'Uncharted 2' and 'Uncharted 3'
“Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” is arguably one of Naught Dog’s most popular games of its generation. But while players have been giving the game such high praises, it has also recently received a critically acclaimed nomination from The Writers Guild Of America for Outstanding Achievement In Videogame Writing.
If history is anything to go by, “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” will have no problem nabbing the award, especially with Neil Druckmann, Josh Scherr, Tom Bissell and Ryan James behind the writing. Moreover, Naughty Dog has developed a skill for releasing games that are graced with the award as well, especially when it comes to the “Uncharted” franchise.
In 2009 and then in 2013, writer Amy Hennig took the award for “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves” and “Uncharted 3: Drake’s Fortune” respectively. Druckmann then took the award in 2014 and 2015 for “The Last Of Us” and its following DLC, “The Last Of Us: Left Behind.” Druckmann is currently working on “The Last Of Us 2,” which is also expected to wow players and critics alike.
“Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” is the sequel to 2011’s “Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception” and is the last full chapter in the franchise to be developed by Naughty Dog. The story follows Nathan Drake, who has retired from fortune hunting, but picks it up again with his brother Sam and partner Sully. Together, the men search for clues on the location of Captain Henry Avery’s long lost treasure.

The nomination was released by The Writers Guild Of America last week. “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” is up against “Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare,” “Far Cry Primal” and “MR. ROBOT,” which were developed by Activision, Ubisoft and Night School Studio respectively. The awards night will be held on Feb. 19, 2017 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California.
