The Season 2 of "Under the Dome" will be introducing new characters, including Barbie's father. Brett Cullen is playing the role of Barbie's father, Don Barbara, a businessman who runs a multi-national corporation.

Entertainment Weekly has described Barbara's characters as someone who is "powerful, smooth, and charming."

"Barbie is shocked to find himself face to face with his father in an unforgettable turn of events," Neal Baer, executive producer of "Under the Dome," had said to Entertainment Weekly.

Now TV Guide's Mega Buzz reports that the introduction of Barbie's father will reveal Barbie's real identity. Baer said to TV Guide that appearance of his father will serve as "revelation that's unexpected in terms of who Barbie really is."

Since Barbie's father run a multinational company, he is "not a poor, working-class kid," Baer said. Mega Buzz reveals that Mr Barbara has a "surprising connection" to another new character who will be introduced in Season 2. Junior's Uncle and a young school teacher are set to appear in the new season of "Under the Dome."

As previously reported, Barbie will be shown alive in the new season of the show, as Junior did not pull the lever. It is expected that he will find himself in more trouble after escaping the gallows.

"Under The Dome" Season is scheduled to premiere on June 30, 2014. The premiere episode, which is titled "Heads Will Roll," is written by Stephen King. There are two deaths in the first episode of Season 2. King has said, as quoted by thestar.com, that he "jumped at the chance to kill off a couple of loved series regulars."

Zap2it quoted Bryan K. Vaughn, executive producer of the show, as saying, "The second season is going to take us places the book never go to go, he's bringing his own twists and turns. Stephen King gave us ideas we've never imagined. What's outside [the dome] comes inside."
