"Under the Dome" Season 2 is set to begin on a sad note, as there are some major deaths in the beginning of the new season.

According to E! Online, there are "definitely" two deaths in the beginning of Season 2 and it is likely to be one of the younger stars of "Under the Dome." The spoiler report also says that there is a possibility of another major death during the end of the season.

The second death in Season 2, however, does not mean that it is the end of story for that character. According to Buddy TV, Neal Baer, executive producer of "Under the Dome," has teased that the second death of the season "doesn't mean you won't necessarily see [that character] again." He said, "anything is possible under the dome."

The two characters who will die are among these eight characters -- Junior, Phil, Linda, Norrie, Angie, Barbie, Carolyn and/or Big Jim, according to TV Guide.

Buddy TV quoted Baer as saying that "In episode 3, Norrie and Joe start to get messages from this young man and we will actually meet him in episode 8." Max Ehrich of "The Young and the Restless" will be playing this character. Baer said that a break in the dome will result in Internet messages getting through.

"Under the Dome" is based on Stephen King's book of the same name. He has written the premiere episode of Season 2. According to Buddy TV, the famous writer will be making a brief appearance in the upcoming season.

"It's the season [Season 2] of transformation. This is the year where we will find out what they're truly made of," Baer has said. According to TV.com, Dean Norris has teased that his character Big Jim has a "come-to-God -- or come-to-Dome -- moment where he believes maybe his purpose in life should be that he shouldn't be so nasty."

"Under the Dome" Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on June 30, 2014.
