More and more cases of child marriages continue to emerge showing how much female children as young as 9 years old are forced both to act as an adult wife and fulfil sexual activities with arranged husband.

News.com.au and Herald Sun reported several stories of such abused lives of young children in Yemen and in other parts of the world like Pakistan and Afghanistan.

One moving story was that of Aisha, an 18-year-old who was forced into child marriage when she was 10. She shared her husband then was 16 years old and still studying. Her marriage was arranged by her family. She said since she was not aware how to be a wife and the sexual obligations that come with it, she was often beaten by her husband. She often had fractures and even lost two pregnancies due to her very young age.

Now that she is 18, even though still young, she stayed with her husband for the sake of the two kids she had. Her advice to the other girls is to try all their best not to get married at such a young age even though tradition calls for it.

The story of Zainub, a 13-year-old teenager is another sad marriage tying a knot when she was 10 to a husband who was 14. She said she was forced into the marriage because her husband's family needed a servant to help around the house. As a result, she was not just beaten to work hard in the house but also to have forced sex with her husband.

Just like Aisha, her message to other girls is to avoid getting married early. She added she can only have divorce if her family will be able to pay the dowry, which was about $400 that her family cannot afford.

According to Yasmin Gull, regional manager for Khwendo Kor, an advocacy group for women's rights, such stories remain common and normal in the rural parts of Pakistan and even in other parts of the world. Such stories are usually told in provinces where poverty levels are extreme and the majority lack the right resources to proper education.

Sarah Saleh, Amnestry International Australia representative, called the Pakistan government to have more strict laws to protect its young girls of the next generation.
