UPDATE as of 2:14 p.m. AEST: The Chicago Bulls have defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 84-82 in overtime to capture the 2016 NBA Summer League Title. The 14th overall pick Denzel Valentine hit the jumper for the undefeated Bulls at the buzzer-beater to beat the Timberwolves for the title.

The top overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft Ben Simmons and the 10th overall pick Thon Maker have received All-NBA Summer League honours, while the second year guard Tyus Jones was named the Samsung NBA Summer League 2016 Most Valuable Player last Monday.
According to the NBA website, a panel of media members had selected the Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers, along with Jones of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Jordan McRae of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Bobby Portis of the Chicago Bulls and Alan Williams of the Phoenix Suns as members of the Samsung All-NBA Summer League 2016 First Team.
Joining Maker of the Milwaukee Bucks on the second team are Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics, Kelly Oubre, Jr. of the Washington Wizards, Normal Powell of the Toronto Raptors and Tyler Ulis of the Phoenix Suns.
Jones averaged 19.4 points on 45.7 percent shooting along with 6.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals. His best game came on July 17 when he scored 29 points on 9-for-17 shooting to go along with six assists and three rebounds.
Jones led the 24th seeded Timberwolves to the Championship game, upsetting the Suns 93-83. His team will be facing the undefeated second-seeded Bulls, which defeated the Cavaliers 85-79. The championship game is set for Monday 9 p.m. EST (11 a.m. AEST) and will be aired on ESPN (Foxtel for Australia).
Foxsports reports that Australia’s Simmons averaged 10.8 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. The Sixers went 2-4 during the NBA Summer League with Simmons not playing in two of those games.
Australia’s Maker, on the other hand, averaged 14.2 points and 9.6 rebounds per game for the Bucks. His team, though, just went 1-5 over the Summer League.
The Samsung NBA Summer League is an 11-day, 67-game event that featured 23 NBA teams and the NBA D-League Select team.
