Android 4.3 custom ROM leaked for the Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 and a video demonstration revealed that Galaxy Ace can indeed run the latest Android version from Google.

Samsung Galaxy Ace with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

Mohd Shakirin, a YouTube user, demonstrated a Samsung Galaxy S5830 running the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS using a custom firmware. You can see the changes made by the Android 4.3 from his uploaded video such as new boot animation with the Google logo, orange background of the Phase Beam live wallpaper, five lock screen shortcuts and Android 4.3 based icons.

The Galaxy Ace running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean doesn't seem to suffer any interface lags and shows very responsive to touch. The firmware has a baseband version of S5830DXKT4 and powered by CyanogenMod 4.3 Leaked Version with build date: Sat, Jun 22.

Assuming that the Android 4.3 firmware build running the Galaxy Ace is same with other CyanogenMod 10.2 ROMs, the device should get the following features:

- Bluetooth Low Energy

- OpenGL ES 3.0 support

- Improved keyboard and input

- New Focal camera app

- Security and stability improvements

2. Copy and paste both the Android 4.3 CM 10.2 custom firmware and the Google Apps package you have downloaded to the SD card of the Galaxy Ace.

3. Disconnect your smartphone and turn it off.

4. Reboot into Recovery mode. Press and hold volume up, home and power keys together till the Samsung logo appears.

5. Inside the Recovery mode, create a Nandroid backup of the current ROM. Select "backup and restore > backup." The ROM is now saved on the SD card which can be restored anytime.

7. After the cleanup, install the Android 4.3 firmware. Select "install zip from SD card > choose zip from SD card." Choose the Android 4.3 CM 10.2 you have copied earlier and confirm its installation. Apple the same with the Google Apps package.

8. Once the installation has been completed, go back to the main menu and select "reboot system now."

9. The device will reboot and may take up to 5 minutes to reach the home screen as it boots for the first time on CM 10.2
