American golfer Bubba Watson took hold of the coveted green jacket after his second win in the U.S. Masters on Sunday.

"It's overwhelming ...To win twice, to be with those great names. ... A small-town guy named Bubba now has two green jackets. It's pretty wild," Bubba said after the win.

Bubba started with a slow start but played steady, hitting fluent 366-yard-drive at the par-5 13th, leading to birdie.

On the other end, Adam Scott, Australia's defending champion, started six back in the final round but was unable to overcome the trail.

"The story of my weekend was some sloppy stuff around the greens, and that doesn't bode well here ... I was really happy with where I put myself on Friday night and without over analysing it was a poor nine holes on Saturday that stopped all my momentum and had me on the back foot ... I just couldn't go anywhere from there and that's what it's like at majors ... You're nine good holes from winning it and nine bad holes from being out of it," Scott said after the play.

Australia's John Senden finished with a tie for eighth at even par ending with eight shots back. His chance to win the title vanished when he bogeyed for twice at the 14th hole.

However, the good fact is, Senden was invited to join the 2015 Masters, after his finish within the 12th position.

"That's a total bonus ... Today was up and down. I had to stay disciplined, had to stay patient with this place, but I'm thrilled to get back here again next year and see if I can improve," Senden said.

Tournament favourite Jason Day ended with tie for 20th.

"I feel like I hit it well enough to contend this week and just didn't capitalise on the greens ... The greens were very tricky and, obviously, just didn't putt very well ...I t was just a good solid week to start off. Obviously, it was a tough tournament to come back to, but there is positive stuff going forward ... I think that I did a lot of good things this week, I just have to look at what needs to be improved for next year and then go on from there," Day added.
