The Enviro-Cool (UK) Limited recently launched V-Tex Technology Drink Chiller which cools drinks in just 45 seconds. This technology is designed to reduce energy usage by 90%.

Founded by Kevin Hall in 1997, Enviro-Cool envisioned a device that rapidly cools drinks using low energy. Hall wanted it to be commercially distributed in the households worldwide.

The European Commission assisted for this vision to come to life by giving Enviro-Cool a 930,000 euros development grant (Grant Agreement Number 262101), which is also known as The Rapid Cool Project. The project was made possible through the Seventh Framework Programme for Research for Small and Medium Enterprises. From this, the V-Tex Technology was born.

The V-Tex Technology Drink Chiller includes the V-Tex commercial unit, compact and domestic units.

V-TEX Commercial

The V-Tex Commercial unit aims to replace multiple refrigerators found in stores, such as supermarkets, convenience stores, service stations, restaurants and bars. With only this unit, beverages can be stored at room temperature on shelves and chilled on demand. It only uses 0.9 kWh/day, compared to commercial refrigerators that use 9.9 kWh/day. It saves energy and space and sanitizes the chilled beverages using a UV cleaning process as it cools the drinks.

V-TEX Compact

This unit is a compact version of the V-Tex commercial unit. It has a state-of-the-art motor which makes little noise and can be used in any room.

As such, it can be used either in the office or at home. It saves energy and time by cooling two drinks simultaneously. The V-Tex Compact unit will cool all shapes and sizes of two bottles or cans. It can cool a wine bottle and a Coke in can.

V-TEX Domestic

The V-Tex Domestic unit self-refrigerates, which means it doesn't need to be set up to function properly. Like the V-Tex Compact unit, it will also cool two beverages at the same time. Consumers can now enjoy cool and clean beverages on demand, while saving the earth by lowering energy consumption and saving refrigerator space. It looks like ice cubes will be a thing of the past. The V-Tex Technology is the wave of the future, meant to be enjoyed by everybody.
