A vacant house in Holden Hill in northeastern Adelaide blew up around 2:15 a.m. Sunday shattering windows of nearby homes.

No one was injured from the blast that destroyed the house on the corner of Falcon Street and Tarton Road. Police are investigating what caused the explosion and are looking for two men who were seen fleeing the area after the blast.

A witness told police one of the men appeared to be shaken by the explosion and escaped by jumping on 1998-99 Toyota Camry sedan driven by another man, according to Adelaidenow.com.

Police who arrived at the scene were greeted by a burning house. Scattered broken bricks, glass and roof material also littered the road up to 80 meters away from the house.

Benni Dimasi, whose house was opposite the one the blew up, told police he heard men arguing after the African men renting the house left.Initial findings b forensic investigators indicate that the explosion was deliberate and an accelerant was used.
