The Vampire Diaries, The Originals: CW Stars Gather for TV Series' New Season Promo Shoot

The CW stars has gathered to do a promotional shoot for the upcoming new seasons of the hit TV series "The Vampire Diaries" and its spinoff "The Originals." Some cast members of the CW TV series shared on social media sites like Twitter and Instagram behind-the-scenes images from the promo shoot.

On Sunday, Aug. 3, executive producer Julie Plec shared on her Twitter account @julieplec that she is "hangin' with the pretty folks" of "The Vampire Diaries." A captured image was included in the tweet where the TVD cast members Paul Wesley (Stefan), Michael Trevino (Tyler), Michael Malarkey (Enzo), Kat Graham (Bonnie), Ian Somerhalder (Damon), Zach Roerig (Matt), Candice Accola (Caroline) and Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy) surrounded Plec. Click HERE to see photo.

Actor Ian Somerhalder teased the fans via Twitter and Instagram about the promo shoot for "The Vampire Diaires" Season 6. "Shooting #VampireDiaries Season 6 Promo material on a Sunday afternoon in Atlanta with these familiar faces," Somerhalder posted on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder with the Instagram link to his behind-the-scene video.

"This is all because of you all. If you didn't watch this wouldn't happen... Thank you to all of the fans aka our audience. Truly. Love, Ian," the 35-year-old actor further added as a caption to his behind-the-scenes video that features his co-stars Paul Wesley and Nina Dobrev in a smoggy setting. Click HERE to watch video.

TVD cast member Michael Trevino also shared a behind-the-scenes image and video of their photo shoot. Trevino shared on his Instagram account michael_trevino an image of his co-stars Michael Malarkey and Kat Graham goofing around during the promotional shoot.

"Season 6 promo photoshoot w/ @mkmalarkey & Kat Graham. It's too early for all this..." the actor's caption to the image reads. Click HERE to see photo. Michael Trevino also shared a behind-the-scenes video of Kat Graham and Michael Malarkey but this time, Candice Accola is with them and they are busy working on a haiku with a TVD theme to it.

"Confusion with these girls... #TVD," Trevino's caption to the Instagram video read. As for Michael Malarkey, the actor portraying Enzo in the supernatural series kept declaring that he loves haikus. Click HERE to watch video.

Cast members of "The Originals" were also around to conduct their own promo shoot for Season 2 of the CW spinoff series. "Huge promotion shoot for #TheOriginals season 2 today!! @CW_network," actress Danielle Campbell, who portrays young powerful witch Davina shared on her Twitter account @daniellecam.

Meanwhile, actor Sebastian Roché (Mikael) shared a goofy photo of himself with TVD's Paul Wesley and "The Originals" co-stars Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley) and Daniel Gillies (Elijah). "Who are all these crazy people?" the 50-year-old French actor wrote as a caption to the shared image on his Instagram account realsebroche. Click HERE to see photo.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 is scheduled to premiere on Thursday night, Oct. 2, at 8 pm ET/PT on the CW Network. "The Originals" will return with Season 2 on Monday night, Oct. 6, also at 8 pm ET/PT on the CW Network.
