"The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 is just days away in airing a brand new episode after the long hiatus and the CW Network released promo videos for the Paul Wesley-directed Episode 18 titled "Resident Evil." Fans can expect couple issues in the upcoming episode as the videos tease about an awkward moment between "Delena" or Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) while Jeremy (Steven R McQueen) asks Bonnie (Kat Graham) to just trust him for teaming up with witch Liv (Penelope Mitchell).

Episode 18 will be introducing the new villain in Season 5 but there appears to be other issues that the TVD gang must deal with. The first promo video clip shows Bonnie getting angry and hurt at Jeremy after finding out about his connection with the powerful witch Liv Parker.

Bonnie showed up at the Lockwood mansion where Jeremy lives after his decision to live life away from his sister Elena. The Anchor to the Other Side told Jeremy that she needs his help because of her grandmother's warning but their conversation got interrupted when Liv entered the picture and told the hunter that they should get back to work.

Bonnie tried to find out what's going on but Jeremy simply asked her to just trust him for teaming up with Liv. The second promo video clip showed the "Delena" couple having an awkward moment after Elena asked Damon to let her go in Episode 17 titled "Rescue Me."

The scene showed Enzo (Michael Malarkey) opening the Salvatore mansion's door to allow Elena and Caroline (Candice Accola) to enter. "I thought you were bringing a witch," Enzo stated but Caroline was quick to point out about calling a witch and not picking her up.

Elena asked where Damon is and the Salvatore vampire enters the room just looking at Elena while saying "Hi." For a moment, the room turned quiet and awkward so Enzo decided to end it by asking who wants a drink from the library.

"Yes, please!" Caroline immediately responded and the two left Elena and Damon alone. "Well, at least they're not being obvious," Elena told Damon before the promo clip ended. Click HERE to watch the video.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 airs Thursday nights at 8 pm ET on the CW Network. The hit TV series is scheduled to resume airing on April 17, 2014 with Episode 18 titled "Resident Evil."
