‘The Vampire Diaries' Season 6: Nina Dobrev To Leave The Show, Nikki-Ian Relationship To Blame--- Reports
Nina Dobrev, who plays Elena Gilbert in "The Vampire Diaries," will reportedly leave the CW show after Season 6 and rumours have it that Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder's relationship is to blame.
Gossip site Celebdirtylaundry claims Nina may leave the show. The actress is reportedly tired of having to deal with her ex and "The Vampire Diaries" co-star Ian Somerhalder parading his new relationship with her friend, Nikki Reed, while on the set of the show. Inquisitr adds Nikki's constant presence on the set with Ian may have been uncomfortable for Nina. Likewise, it could have cost problems with her trying to keep a professional relationship with Ian while filming the show.
As previously reported by International Business Times, Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder have decided to share a home together in Atlanta, where filming for Season 6 of the vampire drama is taking place. According to some eyewitnesses Nikki is cautious of a possible reconciliation between Ian and his ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev. So she reportedly goes to the set every day to monitor her new beau while he spends more time with Nina. Sources claim Nikki is keeping a watchful eye on Ian while he shoots his Damon Salvatore scenes with Elena, where some steamy scenes are bound to happen between two film characters who are deeply in love with one another.
However, Celebdirtylaundry claims another reason for Nina Dobrev's exit from "The Vampire Diaries" after Season 6 could be because of her landing a shot at a movie deal. Inquisitr adds she has signed on for a role in the comedy "Let's Be Cops." The movie is believed to be a step towards her legit movie career, which Ian Somerhalder tried, but unfortunately, failed to achieve.
But Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have reportedly remained friends after they broke up in September 2013, ending their two-year relationship. Nina was even rumoured to have been dating several guys after the split, from Liam Hemsworth, Derek Hough to Orlando Bloom. Ian, on the other hand, spoke about how "life is good" and "he couldn't be happier" with Nikki Reed during the 2014 Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Likewise, Nina has yet to comment on news pertaining to her exit from "The Vampire Diaries" after Season 6.
