'Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Speculations: Liv to Help Jeremy Move on from Bonnie's Death, What Alaric Could Do in New Season
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 finale episode left behind a lot of questions on what will happen to the characters in the next season. Speculations started to surface on the possible relationships to blossom in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 as well as what the characters that came back from the Other Side will do in Mystic Falls.
The WetPaint report speculates on the possibility of Liv (Penelope Mitchell) and Jeremy (Steven R McQueen) pairing up in the new season. The Season 5 finale showed Jeremy losing his Anchor to the Other Side girlfriend, Bonnie (Kat Graham), after she brought a couple of people back to life.
Fans can expect Jeremy grieving over Bonnie's death and Liv could be the person to help the young Gilbert move on especially with the time jump that TVD executive producer Julie Plec teased. In "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5, Episode 15 titled "Gone Girl," viewers can recall how Liv flirted with Jeremy even though Bonnie is around as she performs a locator spell on Katherine (Nina Dobrev).
Jeremy's connection with Liv continued in Episode 18 titled "Resident Evil" when the two worked together in order to get rid of the Travellers but resulted to another tension with his girlfriend Bonnie. The speculation report suggests Jeremy could be in the best place to kick off "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 with a new relationship with Liv.
Another speculation pointed to what resurrected character Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) could do in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6. The Carter Matt report suggested that the fan-favorite character could go back to being a hunter in the new season of the CW TV series or Alaric could become Mystic Falls' new leader.
The report noted that the person in charge of ruling the town should be someone who is actually aware of what goes on inside Mystic Falls. The best candidate for that role appears to be Alaric.
However, TVD executive producer Julie Plec has teased that Alaric has to learn first how to live his life as a vampire in secret and Elena (Nina Dobrev) will help. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 is expected to premiere in October 2014 on the CW Network.
