'Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Spoilers: An Awkward Thanksgiving Dinner To Happen In Episode 8 Titled 'Fade Into You'

The latest details for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 tease that a gathering will take place in the upcoming episode 8 titled "Fade Into You." However, the get-together will immediately turn awkward as the TVD characters deal with their personal issues.

According to MTV News, Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Caroline (Candice Accola) will be hosting a Thanksgiving dinner but not at their Mystic Falls home because of the active anti-magic boundary spell. The guests include Liam (Marco James), Jo (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe), Tyler (Michael Trevino) and witch twins Liv (Penelope Mitchell) and Luke (Chris Brochu).

The report further teased that the dinner's awkwardness will begin with Elena still dealing with Damon's (Ian Somerhalder) return since she has no memory of loving him, Tyler still struggling when it comes to controlling his temper so he will not trigger again his werewolf gene and a confrontation between witches Liv and Jo. In "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, episode 6, Elena found out that Jo is a witch. It looks like the upcoming episode will reveal if Liv and Jo know or has a connection with each other.

As for Liv's relationship with Tyler, executive producer Caroline Dries teased in a TV Guide interview that it will be one of the love stories in the new season. Dries explained that Liv made a huge sacrifice in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, episode 5 titled "The World Has Turned and Left Me Here" when she killed a person so Tyler's werewolf curse will not be triggered.

"She's so hot and cold, so it'll be fun to show more of her past and for us to understand why she acts the way she does toward the boys she likes," Dries shared. The executive producer further teased that Liv will be linked to the bigger mythology of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6.

The synopsis for the next episode titled "Do You Remember the First Time?" in a Wet Paint report revealed that Tyler and Liv will continue to grow closer. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, episode 7 titled "Do You Remember the First Time?" is scheduled to air on Thursday night, Nov. 13, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network. Episode 8 titled "Fade Into You" is scheduled to air on Nov. 20, 2014.
