'Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Spoilers: Damon Meets The New Man In Elena’s Life In Promo Video For Episode 7 'Do You Remember The First Time?' [WATCH VIDEO]

The next episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 will have Damon (Ian Somerhalder) dealing with jealousy and competition when he meets the new man in Elena's (Nina Dobrev) life. In the promo video for episode 7, Damon finds out that he is in a May-the-best-man-win situation when it comes to making Elena fall in-love with him again.

Elena already wanted Alaric (Matt Davis) to bring back her memories of loving Damon in episode 6 titled "The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get." However, a run-in with Tripp (Colin Ferguson) squashed Elena's wish because Alaric became human when Jo (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) saved his life while in the Mystic Falls border.

The promo video begins with Damon asking about Liam (Marco James), the guy who arrived with Elena at an event. "Looks like he's Elena's date," Jo responds. Then, Elena claims that she does not remember being with Damon even after seeing him in the ending scene of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, episode 6.

The video continues with the ex-boyfriend meeting the new guy. "I think I could take you," Liam tells Damon. "He's confident. It's sexy," Damon declares to Elena who is standing nearby. According to the upcoming episode's synopsis in a Comic Book Movie report, Elena will be forced to face her problems when her past comes back to haunt her.

Additionally, Damon will stumble upon a startling clue renewing his hope of getting Elena back. Watch the promo video below and click HERE to see the promotional stills from the upcoming episode.

The synopsis further teased that Jo will finally open up to Alaric about her tragic past after attending the annual Whitmore Medical Center Fundraiser, Caroline (Candice Accola) will be on a mission saving her mom, Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) while Stefan (Paul Wesley), Matt (Zach Roerig) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) resort to extreme measures when Tripp refuses to give details on his vampire-killing operation.

Elena already told Stefan about kissing Liam in the previous episode and the younger Salvatore vampire advised that she should not tell Damon about it.
