'Vampire Diaries' Season 6: Stefan Meets Sarah While Damon And Elena Try To Rescue Bonnie, EP Julie Plec And Caroline Dries Preview Episode 9 [VIDEO]

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 returns with episode 9 titled "I Alone" after taking a Thanksgiving holiday break. Executive producers Julie Plec and Caroline Dries gave a preview on what will happen in the new episode that is scheduled to air on Thursday night, Dec. 4.

In the preview clip, Stefan (Paul Wesley) finally meets his relative Sarah Salvatore (Gabrielle Walsh) but there is one person who expressed interest in the revelation. Executive producer Caroline Dries teased that Enzo (Michael Malarkey) wants to get to the bottom of what is really going on with the Salvatore family revelation mystery.

Another scene in the clip shows Tyler (Michael Trevino) trying to keep Liv (Penelope Mitchell) safe. "I brought you to Mystic Falls to keep you safe from your crazy-ass witch family. You can't just leave because Damon wants you to do some spell," Tyler tells Liv.

However, the witch does not like the idea of being a prisoner so she still heads out to help Damon (Ian Somerhalder) with the spell. Executive producer Julie Plec teased that Damon and Elena (Nina Dobrev) found a way to go over the 1994 prison and help Bonnie (Kat Graham) get out.

While holding the Ascendant, Liv is surprised that Jo (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe), who has been keeping the key that can let their psychotic brother Kai (Chris Wood) out, would hand it over to Damon and Elena. The preview clip shows Elena getting suspicious but Damon tries to shift the conversation into doing the spell so they can move forward.

"It's some shady dealings but it works," Plec teased. The executive producer further revealed that Damon and Elena were able to go to the 1994 prison world, look for Bonnie and search for a way to bring the Bennett witch back home.

Additionally, the upcoming episode will be an interesting one because Kai made his way out and he is going to accomplish what he tried to do 18 years ago which is to merge witch powers with his sister, Jo, become the leader of the Gemini Coven and be evil as he can possibly be. The preview clip shows Kai in a cab complaining about skinny jeans and explaining to the driver that the reason why he is so chatty is because he has been in prison for a while. The "Inside TVD: I Alone" preview clip has been shared as well on the official Facebook page of "The Vampire Diaries." The CW TV series returns on Thursday night, Dec. 4, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network with episode 9 titled "I Alone."
