New faces will continue to show up in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7. The arrival of a dangerous vampire hunter in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7, episode 12 will put the supernatural creatures of the CW TV series in grave danger.

Jeremy Gilbert (Steven R. McQueen) has been the vampire hunter character of Mystic Falls in “The Vampire Diaries” until Elena’s younger brother decided to leave town in the sixth season of CW’s supernatural drama series. However, there will be a new vampire hunter character in the show’s new season but the casting news reports tease that she will be a perilous one.

Entertainment Weekly (EW) reports that Leslie-Anne Huff will be joining the cast of “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 as a dangerous vampire hunter named Rayna, who comes back from the dead after her enemies took her out. At the moment, the Heretics and Bonnie Benett (Kat Graham) are the TVD characters capable of bringing people back from the dead with the use of the Phoenix stone.

The upcoming “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 episodes are expected to reveal who resurrected Rayna and why. Rayna is described as “fierce, driven, smart and confident” but she is a deadly legend who will literally not rest until her vengeance is fulfilled.

The new TVD character could be the vampire hunter chasing after Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) in the flashforward scenes of “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 premiere episode. However, the Salvatore brothers have an important issue to deal with first until Rayna kicks off her recurring story arc in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7, episode 12.

The synopsis of “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7, episode 6 in a Comic Book Movie report teases that Stefan and Damon will come face-to-face with new vampire character Julian (Todd Lasance) after their mother Lily (Annie Wersching) and her family of Heretics resurrected him with the use of the Phoenix stone. Both Stefan and Damon want to kill Julian but the Salvatore brothers will have differing views when it comes to handling Julian’s arrival at present-day Mystic Falls.

“The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 airs on Thursday nights at 8/7c on the CW Network. “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7, episode 6 titled “Best Served Cold” is scheduled to air on Nov. 12.
